JOIN US FOR OUR 2011-2012 SEASON

s we present our 21st subscription season, Texas Camerata is proud to continue our tradition of offering unparalleled historical performances in the Fort Worth/Dallas metroplex, featuring the rich and varied repertoire of the Baroque and Renaissance periods.  The 2011-2012 series, A Music Journey through Baroque Europe, opens in September in the beautiful sanctuary of St. Patrick Cathedral in Fort Worth with the music of Italy, featuring countertenor Ryland Angel singing Vivaldi’s Stabat Mater.  We then travel to France in October for music of the court of Louis XIV at University Christian Church.  Returning to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth,  we continue to Bohemia in January for music of Eastern Europe.  We conclude our musical journey in March with English music in collaboration with David Grogan and Project Eve (back by popular request).  Additions to the subscription season this year include the opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell and Italian chamber music from the late 16th and early 17th centuries in conjunction with the Kimbell Art Museum’s featured exhibit Caravaggio and His Followers in Rome.

Join Texas Camerata, Fort Worth’s own nationally acclaimed Baroque ensemble, for what promises to be a remarkable 2011-2012 season!
